Lisa from The Knitting Artist creates gorgeous works of
art that resemble knit jellyfish swimming in a glowing
sea of different colors. Her works of art inspired this
design, and I love that her art also inspires her yarn

This cowl is knit completely in the round from the
bottom up, starting immediately with the fascinating
Brioche Star Stitch motif. This stitch is created
by working a left-leaning brioche decrease then
immediately increasing into the same decrease. I
layered them in a different way to create a mock cable
look. You will work ridges of the mock cable to mimic
jellyfish swimming deep in the ocean. Then you will
work even brioche, representing the middle of the
ocean, finishing with a mirror image of the same mock
brioche cables of jellyfish swimming in the shallow
waters.
Cowls are just the easiest garments to wear and
elevate any outfit. Throw it on easily over your favorite
outfit to really dress it up, or even over your pajamas
if you’re feeling chilly to add some luxury to your day.
