Turpentine - OOAK - 109
Turpentine! I don't know about you, but when I use turpentine in my oil paintings, it eventually turns into a muddle mixture of the colors I've been using that day.
In an effort to be 'greener' I have started dyeing skeins of yarn with my runoff water! What does that mean? Well when I handpaint all of my variegated, there is always excess dye that the yarn doesn't take. Instead of dumping this toxic water down the sink, why not make something beautiful? These skeins are dyed in a pot of the run-off on my stove and are all unique each time. I usually only do 2-3 each time. The photo(s) shown are the current version of the colorway.
These are dyed on my "DK" base - 100% sw merino, 231 yards
I do my best to represent colors accurately, but they may vary slightly from dye lot to dye lot and when viewed on different monitors.
